An almanac of worries for librarians after Sept. 11

Today’s Wichita Eagle reports There’s fallout from the terror business that no librarian considers funny.

Almanacs, computers, books, all could cause trouble, it’s a library, after all, located in the heart of the most informed culture ever.

Before Sept. 11, it was a chamber of wonders to Harris. Librarians serve as keepers of treasure troves for mothers teaching at home, for romantics seeking escape, for students learning to heal the sick.

Now it’s a potential academy for terrorists.

This is probably one of the best articles I’ve read on the ACT, a great anlge on the story makes it really hit home.
