An action figure for the books, at the Chicago Tribune, has a great quote:
“If it is, that’s a huge deal,” said Gibson Holub, a graphic designer at Accoutrements. “Jesus is No. 1 and has been for some time. But I don’t think Jesus ever got the media buzz the librarian has.”
The librarian (the action figure, not the flesh-and-blood one) is expected to be available later this month or in early September and sell for about $8.50. Chicagoans will be able to find her at www.mcphee.com, the Web site for the Archie McPhee store. She’s already creating a huge buzz, say the people at Accoutrements, Archie McPhee’s parent company. A woman who answered the phone at the company told Q, “She might be bigger than Jesus,” the company’s No. 1 action figure.
