Here’s the story on why lefty political pundit Al Franken is angry with his publisher, Dutton (a division of Penguin Putnam).
Penguin-Putnam is planning on releasing Edward Klein’s attack book on Hillary Clinton, “The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She’ll Go to Become President” on June 21.

This isn’t really news. I remember Franken mentioning this on the air but he didn’t get his panties in a twist and demand his Publisher drop the title or anything. I think his reaction was more of the irony that the publisher that carried his recent title is now carrying the latest Hillary-is-an-evil-power-mad-lesbo-liplocker book.

Then he read it.
And discovered that a large portion of what’s reported in the book is recycled from other sources, has already been shown to be untrue, or both. I think he’s more annoyed that he’s now associated with a publisher that has lowered the standards for “non”fiction.
