Irwin Schiff’s anti-tax book can be found at First Amendment Center. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against him.
The appeals court said portions of the book that the government sought to enjoin were “fraudulent commercial speech” and were not protected by the First Amendment.

After the hearing, Schiff said the appeals proceeding was unfair.
“My lawyer can’t argue the merits,” he said. “No lawyer is allowed to argue the validity of my beliefs because he will be sanctioned for making frivolous arguments.”
