The Buffalo News Reports Paul and Irene Bogoni, Bonaventure philanthropists from the New York City area, had pledged $2 million for an addition to the Friedsam Memorial Library on campus to house the university’s more than 9,000 rare books and manuscripts.
The addition is 75 percent complete and scheduled to open in the fall, but the Bogonis in October informed the university they didn’t plan to pay the remainder of their pledge.
