1960s comic book is an advert for libraries
The thing about libraries is they are not just information resources, but working spaces. If you can’t get space to write at home, head for the library. I have my own office now and many of the books I need to do my work, but when I was starting out most of the books/plays/radio scripts I wrote were written in and using the resources of the public library. Take that public space away and with what do we replace it? Starbucks? Costa?
