Writers’ Union ‘aghast’ at library cuts

CBC News Online Reports The Writers’ Union of Canada says it is “aghast” at recent cuts to Regina’s library system.

The organization has dispatched an open letter to the board that oversees the city’s public libraries. The missive protests the closing of three branches and two resource centres.

The union says it is particularly disturbed by the temporary suspension of the city’s writer-in-residence program.
