Women rule in libraries

Here’s One That probably will come as no suprise, Despite years of the equal rights movement, the ranks of libraries remain dominated by women. According to the 2000 census, women accounted for 73.7 percent of all workers in education, training and library occupations.
The percentage of female employees remains consistent regardless of pay level. In the (Indiana) county library system, 65 percent of the top 100 paid employees were women and 62 percent of the top 40 were women.
