Great little piece by Carol Petrowski, a La Crosse County Library System staff member at the Onalaska Public Library in Wisconsin. She tells us why and how she had to replace her first U*N*A*B*A*S*H*E*D Librarian shirt with a new model.
For those of you not in the know, “The U*N*A*B*A*S*H*E*D Librarian was, and still is (well, up through last summer anyway), a slight little publication with the ultimately descriptive, although grammatically questionable subtitle “How I run my library good”.

I worked at the Westchester Community College library (State University of New York) for more than 20 years. We were subscribing to the Unabashed Librarian in the 70’s. It was wonderful.
I’m retired now but still remember our rushing to get the first opportunity to read it.

We have too few books about how to communicate about the disease that affects so many of us and frightens all of us.
