No, she is a Tennesseean through and through and September 23rd was her day. Major John Decker, on behalf of the City of White House TN , declared Saturday, Sept. 23, Barbara Melton Day. Melton worked diligently at the White House Library for 14 years. She began as a member of the planning group and was hired as its librarian. Story from the Robertson County Times .
