Want a book but not in the mood to travel to the library? If you’re in Burlington County NJ, you might just be able to get that book (or DVD) mailed to your home.
Burlington County Times has a feature on a new program, Library in a Bag, funded by a $50,000 grant from the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative. Unlike many free delivery programs, Library in a Bag is not limited to the elderly or homebound.
If a book is mailed in one of the reusable bags, the book and bag are both checked out to help ensure that the bags are returned with the books. The grant covers shipping one way, so patrons must pay for return shipping or take the item to a county library or drop-off location.
