Wake County, NC passes a bond referendum to build libraries

April writes “Wake County citizens today voted yes on a bond referendum that will supply $35 million for new libraries. So far, there isn’t much up besides the results of the vote at our local news site, but here are the results, and here is some info about the bond issue from the county’s homepage.”

And in other good news… Steffers writes “The Dickson Herald reports that a $20,000 donation to the library general fund will attempt to help the county keep their books. A council member will be drafting a request that the county pick up the remaining money owed to the state.”
