Virtual Libraries and Real-Life Concerns

Here’s A Good Read from over at Law.com by Tricia Kasting a reference/government documents librarian at Hofstra University School of Law’s Deane Law Library in Hempstead, N.Y.

She says Virtual libraries should be an opportunity for librarians to demonstrate how and why our services are relevant to the electronic age. Collection development and information literacy are a strong foundation. Our problem is time. We must make the time for the public relations and education of our school or firm administration. It is time to be proactive so that we direct the transition to a virtual library.
