UT Library Refuses To Pull Controversial Book

Anonymous Patron writes kutv.com In Utah: The Davis County Library Board has refused to pull from the library’s young-adult section a fantasy book that includes illustrations of trolls, dragons, ogres – and unclothed mermaids.

The book “Voyage of the Basset” tells of a magical journey by a 19th-century professor and his family. It includes 120 illustrations by James C. Christensen, a retired Brigham Young University art professor and co-chairman of the Mormon Arts Foundation, and has contributions by authors Alan Dean Foster and Renwick St. James.”
