The local Sacramento News reports: “We have not completely ruled out the idea of foul play, but at this time there appears to be a strong possibility that she left voluntarily,” Young said. Investigators are still actively working the case and are following all possible leads, he added.
Police won’t say what new information they have, but family members said they believe it’s from Kelsey’s work computer.
They said she was interested in Austin, Texas. She also looked up library jobs and maps.
Jill Maxwell, Kelsey’s mother, picked up items from her daughter’s rental home on 34th Street and said she would be taking them to a psychic for investigation.
