A Nice Piece From MNDaily.com paints a pretty picture of the University Of Minnesota Library.
The author, Stephanie Snyder, a University public relations student, says many University students unknowingly put themselves at a huge disadvantage, because they choose to face the research alone, with nothing but the unpredictable Internet.
“I can attest that the University library system is the primary place for students to meet their informational needs. There are countless benefits to be had by using the resources and services offered.“
Sounds like.. 😉
someone was trying to get her fines waived/ library card renewed!
FWIW, I didn’t really understand how to use a library until I worked in one.
awww…
what a cute article. All of us in academic libraries should try to coerce students into writing something like this every semester!
I have to say though, I was thrown by the fact that she said she didn’t like libraries. Who doesn’t like libraries? What’s not to like? Weird. I mean, obviously most of us here like them and use them, but I really don’t understand why a student would say, “I have this paper to write but I don’t like libraries so I’m going to muddle around on my own.”
