TN County kills library funding

Sad News Out Of TN where the Dickson County county lawmakers Monday night failed to restore county funding mandated by a state contract.
The trucks may arrive at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the Dickson County Public Library and Lifelong Learning Center to remove more than 20,000 books and other materials.
By falling out of compliance with the contract, the library will also lose nearly half a million dollars in state and regional resources.

“This is the first time since 1958 that a Tennessee library has lost its books,� said Bernie Dunham, chairman of the library board. “These gentlemen should be ashamed of themselves.�
