Titanic letter goes under hammer

Charles Davis writes “From
The BBC:

A letter written by a passenger on the Titanic is expected to fetch up to £20,000 when it goes under the
hammer.

The letter, written on the ship’s headed notepaper, was among the last consignment of mail before it left for
its doomed journey across the Atlantic.
It is being put up for sale at Tennants, of Leyburn, North Yorkshire, by Mr Duff’s daughter Christian Duff, from
near Darlington, County Durham.

The letter has been valued at between £6,000 and £8,000 but experts say interest from collectors could push
it up to the £20,000 mark when it is sold on Wednesday”
