Thousands Of Librarians, Supporters To Rally For Texas Libraries In State Capitol April 6

Anonymous Patron writes “The Lone Star Iconoclast Online Reports, Thousands of librarians from all over Texas will gather at the State Capitol April 6 from 4-5 p.m. to send a message to lawmakers: Libraries are an investment that works, and funding for libraries is critical for economic development.
The Texas Library Association, representing the 7,000 librarians who work in the state’s public, school and academic libraries, will hold their annual meeting in Austin for the first time in 40 years—not coincidentally, during the biennual Texas legislative session.”
