Very strange press release from Islamabad informing us that “The President’s Secretariat on Tuesday instructed the Interior Ministry to use force if necessary to vacate a children’s public library occupied by madrassa students.
Baton-wielding female students of the Jamia Hafsa seminary took over the library after the demolition of Hamza Masjid, which was built illegally on encroached state land.”
The sources said Islamabad’s deputy commissioner would also make sure that the policewomen (no male policemen will be involved of course) do not desecrate mosques or madrassas during the possible crackdown. The policewomen would be told not to wear shoes but leather socks.
