The Library Channel?

Sarah writes Ads for The Library Channel have been appearing on billboards in the Urbana-Champaign area. They tout themselves as “the FIRST Internet search engine, composed EXCLUSIVELY of Web sites researched and selected by LIBRARIANS.” Hardly that. In reality, their database of websites gives nothing but error messages, and their site is riddled with spelling errors. It looks like they’re trying to recruit librarians to select sites for them – for free – while requiring them to push this site’s “services” (i.e., ads) to library patrons.
HMMMM indeed.
