The place: where area university and college library books go when people don’t read them much — the book depository tucked behind the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) in Portage County, Ohio. It has taken only 10 years to reach a million. The depository workers received, bar-coded and shelved the millionth book this year.
The depository opened in 1994 out of a need to free up space for new books at the schools.
