JOHN AIELLO writes “I have recently launched an on-line magazine (THE ELECTRIC REVIEW– www.electricrev.net) which is an electronic broadside dedicated to the review of new books and records. It is expanding by the month, with traffic averaging between 1,500 and 2,000 hits per day for new issues.
The magazine reviews both general titles in myriad genres, as well as reference books in the law and medicine fields. I believe these reviews are especially of value to the student population and to instructors. Reviews are written not so much in a “formula style” but rather in a manner meant to high-light the underlying themes of the material — our goal is to make the reader excited about the possibilities these books hold.
