Texas High school librarian retires after 40 years

Daily News – Galveston County Texas – Reports Dianne James knew in the sixth grade that she wanted to be a librarian.

After 40 years of fulfilling that dream, James has retired as Hitchcock High School’s librarian. The school district awards pins to employees at each five-year anniversary. Along with her pin, James takes a lifetime of memories. She says she will spend the next few weeks working to leave behind a tidy office, orderly files, shelved books and clean closets for the next school year.
