Texas community college cuts up to 1/3 employees

Anonymous Patron writes “Coastal Bend College in Beeville, TX has eliminated 35 faculty and staff and an unknown number of academic programs in a drastic budget cutting move. It is facing a shortfall of $1.1 million this academic year and a larger cut for the next two years. At least one full time librarian out of 4.5 FTE librarians will be cut.
