Technosexual???

Thanks for posting the news piece on “Technosexual” – I laughed out loud in my little cubicle at work – high praise indeed.

The article says women should come up with their own term to describe their techie tendencies…

Which leads me to wonder…
Should women get their group started?

I think this story is library related because it mentions men. Sometimes men go to libraries. Therefore this is a library story.

Well, it’s definitely information-technology oriented, and many people who work in libraries are also info-tech-y, aka Technosexual (apparently). If they had looked into librarians/library schools for this story, I doubt they would have asked if women could be technosexual.

But for me, this informative passage made it all worthwhile: “Technosexuality is a word used to get away from the oft-confusing acronym, A.S.F.R., which refers to the sexual interest in machines, robots, androids, gynoids and other sexual devices not really occurring in real life.”

Now I’m trying to figure out what the acronym might stand for…
