Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Turning Bikers Into Bookers

The Associated Press reports a new angle on the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The library in downtown Sturgis is attracting some unlikely book-lovers – bikers. Some are ducking into the air-conditioned library to get away from the heat and the noise of hundreds of thundering Harleys. Library worker JoAnn Mortinson says some of the bikers are even borrowing books – with pictures of tattoos.

Non-residents are allowed to check out books with a deposit. Once the bikers get their tats done, they return the books and get their money back.
