Stolen movies jammed into library return box

I just love a good caper. Maquoketa, Iowa Public Library Director Karen Manning was surprised to see the book drop stuffed full Monday morning.

It wasn’t overflowing with books. Inside were 53 of the classic movies that had been stolen from the library.

“I had gotten a complaint that someone couldn’t return a book because the book drop was stuffed,� Manning said. “But I didn’t expect the movies.�
