Republican Win
I’m sorry, but what part of the Bush election win don’t you understand? The goal is to cut taxes in Red States. This means cutting services.
The voters have spoken, and they voted Republican and they voted for Bush. The result is a war in Iraq and Afghanistan placed on a credit card and cuts in local, state and federal services. The state level is following the national lead- cut services. People want to cut taxes in Texas. This means the libraries will be cut. Libraries should realize their funding deletes state standards, and get comfortable with fewer hours, fewer staff, and fewer services.
Those who think differently can encourage people to vote differently, or move to a blue state. But if you voted Republican, or didn’t vote at all, then this is what you get. It’s no secret this is what was planned, and this is what they claimed they would do if they came into control.
Live with it.
