The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Reports Checking out a new book often means a long wait at Rose Creek and the six other branches that make up the Sequoyah Regional Library serving Cherokee, Gilmer and Pickens counties.
The library system has just 1.1 books for every person in the three counties it serves, far below the state standard of two to four books per capita.
