Small Library Loses 75% of DVD Collection

The Lexington Public Library (IL) had a “wake-up call” when a binder containing 90 DVDs was stolen from the library. Said Director Evelyn Homan:

“This is a wake-up call for us”, said Homan, who has noticed an increase of thefts, including the recent loss of a cash box and compact discs. “We’re not used to having to lock up things, but this (theft) shows that even in little towns we’re not immune. We’re vulnerable.”
