Sikh holy books get first-class trip to Toronto

Blake writes CTV Reports Under a grey sky and blustery winter-like winds, 149 Sikh holy books safely arrived at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport from India Sunday in what was believed to be the first mass air delivery of the scriptures.

The scriptures are thought of by Sikhs as a living teacher, and are only printed at the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, India.

Central to the faith, such a large shipment of the books to Canada’s estimated 300,000 Sikhs has never been attempted.”
