John Hubbard at Library Link of the Day (you are subscribed, aren’t you?) posted an interesting story. The SF Chronicle reports that Mr. Obama’s nominee for Attorney General, Eric Holder, stated in his confirmation hearing that he was in favor of continuing certain Patriot Act provisions. One of the provisions Mr. Holder favored was Section 215, the now notorious provision authorizing searches of specific library records.

Nice work bringing this to the library community’s attention
Stephen,
Nice work bringing this to the library community’s attention. I have cited this post of yours as an authority in my own blog post named, “ALA Silent As Obama Nominee Expects to Adopt USA PATRIOT Act Bush Position.”
Good work. Thanks again.
