School librarian rats out jr. Mafioso

A
story from the Akron Beacon Journal
about a school librarian who found notes left by a 14 year-old student detailing his plan to build a Mafia-style family among his classmates at school. The kid’s (nicknamed “The Boss” by police) plans included prostitution, weapons sales, money laundering, recruiting hit men, fixing grades and selling candy. Police found two crude electrical devices in his backpack, with which he purportedly planned to disrupt electrical power at the school. The Boss was expelled from school, sentenced to six-months probation and has to write an essay highlighting the positive contributions made by Italian Americans.
