Anonymous Patron writes “Journal Inquirer – Reluctant silence: Library group’s leaders fought federal order while bound to keep it a secret: After two FBI agents visited him last summer at his office in a former junior high school here, George Christian, the executive director of a nonprofit organization that runs computer systems for 26 Hartford-area libraries, found himself thrust into the role of keeper of a state secret.
The “national security letter” Christian received that day sought information on who had used a particular “Internet protocol address,” presumably at one of the 26 libraries, during a 45-minute period several months earlier.”
scare tactics
That the ACLU told him he couldn’t even tell his wife seems like nothing more than scare tactics. If there is a legal exemption for a wife testifying against her husband then I would think there would be an exemption here.
