Raggin’ on boss via e-mail protected speech

In a case heard by the California high court, justices ruled that a slew of e-mails sent by a disgruntled former employee of Intel did not consitute trespassing. Intel had called the content of the e-mails, sent by Kourosh Kenneth Homidi into question, but the court ruled that as private e-mails, they were protected speech, much as if someone had staged a protest outside of the Intel offices. As long as you don’t harvest addresses of people you don’t know and regale them with tales of terror from the office, it’s a-ok!
No word on how this ruling will help Mr. Homidi’s job search. He’s a plucky fellow, though. Following news of the ruling, he proclaimed he’d be back on the job, so to speak, saying that he would resume his e-mailing “to the max.” More here from CNN.
