Fifteen Jackson County Oregon libraries will soon be reopened, having been closed since mid-April when they ran out of money. LSSI will manage the libraries there, and although they will be open fewer hours, everyone hopes that this solution will be the ticket to keeping the libraries open.
This story was reported here last week from a listserv and local paper, but now the story has been picked up nationally/internationally via the AP.
