Princeton’s New Hot Spot? Try the Public Library

A Glowing Review of the library in Princeton. “It’s possible that half of those making use of the Princeton Public Library each day don’t even know they’re in a library, so diverse are their pursuits.” As a wealthy university community, Princeton has no end of cultural resources. But since its $18 million reconstruction and reopening 18 months ago, the library has emerged as the most unlikely happening institution of all.

    Leslie Burger, will assume the ALA presidency in July 2006. She received the New York Times Librarian Award for 2004 and was honored as the University of Maryland’s CLIS Alumna of the Year.
