Preserving our past

Anonymous Patron writes “The Brookings Register Online (That’s South Dakota) takes a look at what’s become known, somewhat famously in Brookings, as the George and Evelyn Norby Historic Collection.
It’s a collection of thousands of local newspapers, photographs and negatives housed at the Briggs Library. The task of preserving and organizing the gigantic collection has been handed to Stephen Van Buren, the university’s archivist and head of special collections.”
