The University of Texas Police Department is investigating a threatening note found in the Perry-Castaneda Library Friday morning.
UT spokeswoman Rhonda Weldon said the building was deemed safe at 12:55 p.m. after officers and dogs performed a complete sweep of the premises. The department determined evacuating the building was not necessary, she said.
Due to an ongoing investigation, Weldon said she couldn’t comment on the nature of the note or whether its contents related to another menacing message discovered in Robert A. Welch Hall on Thursday.
