The NYSUT has a Sad Story about Angela Page, who worked as a librarian at Liberty Middle School in NY. “One day at the Liberty Middle School library where Angela Page had worked since it opened in 1991, the librarian went to retrieve a book from the shelf. She felt how slimy it was as it slipped through her hands, and then she herself slipped to the floor.
Page blacked out. When she came to, she crawled out of the library and into the hall, where she lay at the bottom of the steps until a teacher found her.”
