Blake writes “This One Says An unusual case of theft was reported in downtown Stroudsburg Monday afternoon.
A man walked into the Christian Science reading room in the 700 block of Main Street at about 2 p.m., asked to use the phone and swiped $45 from a cash box while the reading room’s librarian was distracted, according to Stroud Area Regional Police.
The librarian confronted the man as he left the store, demanding that he return the stolen cash.
The man came back inside, returned the money and left, police report.
The librarian declined to press charges, police said.”
