Pierre Berton opens namesake library

The opening ceremony of the Pierre Berton Resource Library (part of the Vaughan (Ontario) Public Libraries) was held on Sunday, October 17. Present at the ceremony was the library’s namesake, Canadian author Pierre Berton, who found the whole idea “a little staggering.” He said, “I never expected my name to be associated with a library except in the overdue parts of the book.” [CBC story]
