lislemck writes “Library Journal reports that the Free Library of Philadelphia has a new tempest related to the problems between management and staff earlier this year. The union is calling for the resignation of the Associate Director.”
Is this the next AFPL-type debacle?
checking the TO: field
I guess they don’t teach librarians to check the TO: field before clicking ‘send’. Or even better, not entering anything in that field until the message is done.
Not a librarian!
I don’t know who didn’t teach him, but the Associate Director is not a librarian. No MLS. Not even library background.
He was Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Region III. Before that, he was Executive Director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations. Hmmm, what did he learn there?
I don’t know who taught him to use Outlook, which really is “evil to the core” :). But in this instance, I am not willing to blame the computer.
