Phasing out librarians helps Provo schools balance books

The school district continues to replace its degree-bearing librarians with lower-paid and lower-skilled employees, but some parents have a suggestion for the cost-cutting move: Shelve it.
“I disagree wholeheartedly with this decision,” Provo resident Lynn Stallard said. “Our district is one of the best because we have not changed this policy.”
