Papua New Guinea Kids Love Books and Love to Read

Papua New Guinea lies entirely within the tropics, just south of the Equator and 160km to the north of Australia. The population, according to their tourism site is composed “of almost 5.5 million people of Melanesian race”. With strong bounds to the past and an equally modern outlook, New Guineans value an education and love books. But there are only 26 libraries for the entire population, and only nine in operation at the current time.
