OEDILF – The Omnificent English Dictionary In Limerick Form: The OEDILF Project, an online Limerictionary, is proud to present the work of writers living in 13 different countries in which English is spoken. As an international writing project, the limericks frequently use local spellings, grammar, punctuation and, most likely, rhymes that may not be familiar to all readers. They make every effort to ensure that the usage in each approved piece is correct according to the standards of the writer’s home country.

    One of my favs

    I wish I could take credit for this, but I’m positive I read it somewhere:

    A limerick is rhyme phenomenal
    Packed into a space economical.
    But the good ones it seems,
    So seldom are clean.
    And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

    Believe me, I know far worse than that. 🙂
