Ode to the Lowly Paperback

The Sydney Morning Herald points out the benefits of paperback books:

  • 1. rediscovering an old friend on a shelf and rereading it;

  • 2. loaning a book you’ve enjoyed to someone who will enjoy it for the first time,
  • 3. getting it back…

    these aren’t necessarily a given with e-books.

    Not that it’s an either/or thing; the author recommends the e-book for such tomes as ‘Quantum Mechanics Made Simple’ and reminds us that toting around an e-book in lieu of a weighty backpack could cut down on the need for chiropractic.
