The Sydney Morning Herald points out the benefits of paperback books:
these aren’t necessarily a given with e-books.
Not that it’s an either/or thing; the author recommends the e-book for such tomes as ‘Quantum Mechanics Made Simple’ and reminds us that toting around an e-book in lieu of a weighty backpack could cut down on the need for chiropractic.
There’s likely to be a counterproductive side to e-books
SPAM!!
Icky, gooey, slimey SPAM!! Instead of adverts for bigger boobs or bigger dicks, we’ll get lots of: Shhhh! Have you read this book yet?
The taste of spam could very well be the kiss of death for an e-book in a way all the contentious issues couldn’t possibly be even when put together.
Save the easily offended: ban everything.
