NYPL show – Books as Art

Steve Fesenmaier points us to this New York Times article about a NY Public Library exhibit Ninety from the Nineties. Part of a tradition begun in 1968 with the show Sixty from the Sixties, the NYPL mounts an exhibition of books acquired by the Rare Books Division during the preceding decade. According to the article, this exhibition is “built around a conundrum that lies at the center of most surveys of the book as object.”
