The 2006 census results along with the province’s new budget could cause a $67,000 drop in library funding. The Librarian Said: “The bottom line is that we are in danger of losing services that people depend on.”
In the meantime, however, Conrad said residents should put their heads together and figure out how “we” can rally around our libraries.
Conrad said libraries are important and people need to advocate not only for change but also for increased funding on a yearly basis.
